Same story for me. When I first saw the Caller ID I thought they might be legitimate. Thanks to everyone who report in on this site for what this number is really about.
Spooge-licking, time-wasting, dripping HOLES. I've told them not to call, several times. They ask for my brother, who's not been at this address for 2 years. I called-back just to double check who it is they say they are: "Breast Cancer Charities of America." Immediately, I smell dead fish. The recorded message sounds very slippery, too. This outfit is committing criminal harassment. Screw them, AND the horse they rode in on.
I received this call and suspect I got one from the same folks last week with a similar number. Last week the money was for helping women with breast cancer pay for their treatments. Today it was to help them buy food and clothing. Was willing to donate until I asked what the percentage of money raised actually goes to the cause. It's a pitiful 15% which is a total disgrace. I wouldn't give this organization a dime!!!! Also, while these sound like real people, the conversation interaction seems computer driven.
I'm just wondering what part of the country you live in? I'm from western mass and have just received a call from this # today for the first time. If this # is calling all over the country, I'd like to call our local cops and report them.
