The calls have started again. Caller ID says Breas Cancer AM. Never leaves message. They always hang up when answering machine picks up. They are persistent. They haven't called since before Christmas, but now their backs at it again.

It's legal for charities to call people even if you're on the DNC list, though most of the money goes to the telemarketers, and charities that use them must be considered unethical. If you want to reduce these calls, write to your Congressman and US Senators asking them to get rid of the DNC list exemption for "charities."
They call back to annoy you. Scammers don't like potential victims getting mad at them. They will try to get back at you. Just don't answer the phone for them and block their number. If you answer the phone, speak to them in a foreign language (if you know one other than Spanish) or pretend you're retarded and just say "Huh?" over and over again.
