FWIW - the CharityNavigator linked to by "Smarter than", below, finds at least 22 organizations with "breast cancer" and "awareness" in their names -- all unrated, though many quite legit-looking. (Naturally, THIS one is NOT legit, as the unavailable ID proves...)
Got call today-woman asked for my by first name. I said "speaking" then she hung up. Having just come from court on a very serious matter I found the call very unnerving. I called the number back three times and got the same message everytime-"number unavailable." If anyone can determine who this company-organization-or individual is please post it-as I am filing a police report.
We got a call again from this number today at 7:07 pm, and it was again blocked by our call blocker. The caller ID was still SPRINGFIELD MA. Please see my posts of 23 April and 26 May. I highly recommend a call blocker to avoid these nuisances.
9:05 am called, Caller ID said Springfield, MA, and since I know people in Springfield, MA and don't know their phone numbers I answered. They knew my first name... which they can get from the phone directory or somewhere, I'm sort of famous.
Very rude, very provocative, and probably illegal in my state.
I think this call was all about giving money to something to do with Cancer, but I had just had enough and hung up.
