just now on my cell phone, didn't answer don't know who it was shows you what the do not call list does. Getting calls here and on my land line all the time.
Got a call from this number today. Didn't leave a message. Got another call from a similar, but different number this same time last weekend as well.
Just wanted to say- I see everybody on here complaining about being on the DNC list, and what not. The reason we get these calls is because somewhere along the line we unknowingly accepted some terms of service agreement that you didn't read(nobody does). Somewhere in those novel sized legal waivers; you basically acknowledged, accepted, and approved- not only the use of, but the sharing of any, and all information you provided.
I totally agree that these calls are annoying. They make me hesitant to answer the phone if it's a unknown number. Kinda sucks when you are expecting a call back from a number you may not ordinarily recognize. However, I recognize(so should you) that it is occurring as a result of my own lack of attention when accepting, or aggreeing to online Terms of Service agreements, and also when you do business with everyday legitimate companies. They usually all give you a brochure that exclusively details how, and who they share your information with. My auto insurance company gives my information to its third party partners. My life insurance company shares information with their respective partners.. Etc...
Moral to all this- is to simply be aware, and ask questions even when you're dealing with legitimate companies that you may assume don't participate in these types of activities.. The truth of the matter is- they all do. They could easily provide the proof where you authorized them to do so..
We got a call from this number today at 9:38 am and didn't answer. The caller ID was GREAT BARRIN MA. No voicemail message was left. I called back several times (our number is hidden by default on outgoing calls), and each time I heard a busy signal. The number will be added to our call blocker.
