Don’t hire a cheater!
Don’t spend your hard earned money on someone that doesn’t have liability insurance leaving you and your homeowners insurance on the hook for any injuries or damages occur on your property. Ask for a copy of his insurance policy.
We all pay our fair share of income taxes to the state and federal government. Legitimate businesses have a payroll that pays into social security, medicare and Medicaid and workers compensation. Does this guy? Ask him for proof.
Acceptable payments are cash or check made payable to “Brian Pranka” (your check can be cashed at your bank eliminating a paper trail).
“…conflict of interest. I (Brian Pranka) have nothing to gain or loose by inspecting your septic system.” If he contacts the company he referred for the repairs in hopes of a kickback that you will pay for is this a conflict of interest or "nothing to gain"?
Don’t hire an inspector that is so arrogant that he doesn’t even have commercial registration on his truck cheating another system (passenger plate 980 XAT).
Hire a legitimate company that pays like a law abiding citizen. Not a guy working out of his home without a business certificate, insurance policy or even a tax number. Don’t hire a cheater who expects law abiding citizens to carry the burden for town, state and federal expenses.
Don't hire someone who has been screwing the public since 2001.
You write a lot, but don't say much. So did you get a call from this number or not? How did the scam unfold? Where does this contractor work? Sounds like a one-man show. If you were NOT cold called by this guy, how did you run afoul of him?
Your post reaches people in the US, Canada, England, France... all over the place, but it sounds like you have a beef with one contractor who is probably not making cold calls outside of a 100 mile radius. Unless this guy is working the phones as part of the scam, your post is not doing very much for anyone, and kinda-sorta looks like a vendetta.
I didn't especially like the new plumber I used. Not at all, but I called him, so plastering his name on a website devoted to phone scams, would not much much sense. I might feel better for slamming a lousy plumber on every website in the world, but it would not be as effective as calling my friends and making a post on local forums.
