Just got off the phone with my service provider. I was assured that they don't sell phone numbers, or provide that info to third party vendors. Needed to clarify my first post and confirm that my cable company did not I repeat DID NOT provide my phone number.
Received a call from them saying our computer had a problem. Problem is, we don't have a computer. Told her to stop calling, take us off the phone list. She called back numerous times and said she would call 1000 times just to bother us. These people are crazy!!!
WAKE UP!!!! THEY ARE TRYING TO PLANT A VIRUS ON YOUR COMPUTER SO THEY CAN THEN STEAL YOUR INFO..THEY WILL EVEN INSTALL THIS SO CALLED UPDATE FOR FREE!!
That sounds great - if anyone has beachfront property in Arizona, I would be interested in buying some, LOLOLOL. All kidding aside, there are several big lakes in AZ and I'm sure some of them have beach fronts. But then, what do I know? I can't believe that there are so many "dumb" people out there who would believe these scam calls, let alone this one. Sometimes I get frustrated with these calls, but since there's not much we can do to avoid them, I either don't answer or hang up immediately. Sometimes I say "I don't think so!!" and they try to continue. I then say "what part of I don't think so did you not understand" and hang up. If they spent as much time trying to get a real job to earn money as they do trying to scam people, they would more than likely do quite well.
Just my 2 cents
