Got two calls: First time, telling us there was a problem with the computer (funny...as the homeowner doesn't have a computer) and the second was the automated message.
It's a shame I can't block this number for it is invalid for my carrier. Darn. Only on my answering machine will I will be able to block this number 'it doesn't care' or it has "IDC" a horrible disease for which I am glad it has.
oh just to add if you get a pizza delivery guy you did not order a pizza from DO NOT answer the door. Or if the police come in and check on your wellness call 911 for this is these horrible guys checking in on us making sure our phone number is correct. This is their new scam be alert.
This caller (from India usually) is preying on your fears that your PC/laptop is vulnerable and that you data is "open and obtainable" via the internet; Do Not assist them or provide any additional information to them! Don't confirm or deny any of the information that is presented to you; this is a 'fishing' scam. These aren't telemarketers nor do they work for Microsoft or any other legitimate software company for that matter. It's an attempt to obtain your personal information directly from you (the User) as well as an attempt to obtain access to your PC/Laptop/etc. Do Not Provide Any Information To These Callers!!
