Overseas telemarketer mentioned IBM and (I think) IDT. Something to do with data compression? Broad wanted me to confirm my email address so she could email me some kind of report.
I refused to confirm my email address. I jerked her around a bit then she said "I'm going to disconnect the call."
This caller has claimed to be Tech Network, this time around. They have also been IBM, IDG Connect, Ivy League Connect, Business 2 Business Tech Hub, Dell, HP and a lot of other legit sounding companies.....Phishing for info on our IT people. They have a long list of names of my company employees, some here and some not. As soon as I ask who they are and what the purpose of their call is, they get flustered and spew all kinds of nonsense! I just end up hanging up on them. I get about 30 calls a day from these idiots. They are up to no good, so I shut them down! No one gets past me unless they are legit! When you work for a global corporation, there are a lot of names on those lists! Its exhausting! :)
