We got a call from this number with caller ID saying "San Rafael CA" on the afternoon of April 22, 2016. It rang only once and did not call back. Our third party blocking service intercepts calls from previously blacklisted numbers after one ring.
CID: San Rafael CA. Audio typical of machine dialer. Said "Hello", but no response from machinery, so I said "Hello" again louder, hoping the voice detection apparatus would hear me. Further silence and then two beeps at same frequency. Then I disconnected. I have a new theory that there is a lower tier of activity at a lower fee that collects and sells information regarding warm bodies who pick up the phone when it rings. They sell that list to whatever scammer is planning a campaign for the day, operating at a higher tier and fee, especially if they employ high-cost humans. This first round of machine dialers provides a "hot list" for the second round so the humans have less downtime due to waiting for the machinery to find the next "live one".
Gat similar call 10:19AM CID San Rafeal, Ca.. I know no one in that area... Answer Machine answered they left no message. Today is Primary day election in Maryland.. Wonder if the call was Political Drivel?
Got 2 more calls one yesterday and another this morning . Called the number back. The phone company says I can't reach them when dialing this number. So they can dial you but you CAN't reach them by a return phone call. Oh well send me a letter. You won't reach me by phone, I am BLOCKING the number like you do me!
