I got he same call. english accent calling from the IRS. Started to get abusive. I hung up . Tried clling me half a dozen times. I kept hanging up. My goal was to get him tired of dialing. Was successful.
These guys are from Pakistan. They have the standard South Asian accent, Urdu/Hindi is spoken in Pakistan, and I could hear names of Pakistan cities someone was mouthing off, in the background. Perhaps they are trying to fund their madrasas/terror outfits with American money?
I wonder how they got my name and number? I put them on my auto-block list, along with the other (415) number these crooks have recently used to pretend they are IRS.
I got a couple of calls today into my voicemail with this call back number. The voice in the call is heavily staggered and it is about some tax litigation department and is extemely sensitive with some reference number to call back.
