SCAM CALL recording of female voice claiming to be from the IRS and threatening that if we did not call back immediately they would take action against us. Caller ID shows the number is in Novato, California (outside San Francisco). They called twice on 11/11/14.
"...time sensitive. I am officer Julie Smith from Internal Revenue Service and the hotline to my division is (415) 234-9481. I repeat it's (415) 234-9481. Don't disregard this message and do return the call before we take any action against you. Goodbye and take care."
It was definitely a computerized voice, not a person. Note the "from Internal Revenue Service" rather than the way a person would say from "the Internal Revenue Service". As others have said, if you have any questions or concerns, call the real IRS and ask them but I am confident it is a scam.
