Got a call this morning a heavy accented Indian man said I owed for my 2011, and 2012 taxes and that my drivers license was suspended and to not drive and that an officer was coming to my house to confiscate property. I told him I was going to call the IRS and he said he was the IRS, he said I was wasting time and I only had 45 minutes to fix the situation. I was told they had been to my house twice and I was avoiding them, and I told him no one left any info, and if I owed for 2011,2012 I should have been notified prior to 2 years. I ask him what address they went to, and he could not tell me my address. I called my tax man he said it was a scam IRS never calls anyone they notify by mail. CREEPS!!!!!
Called this morning at 841am EST...leaving a voice message claiming to be Internal Revenue Service prompting "to avoid any action against you then please return the call". Obviously bogus and intended to harass because in practice the IRS will make attempts to notify you by mail documenting your taxes owed etc. I will report this number to the IRS ...
Got the call, too. Heavily accented Indian/Pakistani female. Extremely aggressive, immediatelely began intimidation and talking about lawyers. I asked, "Send it in writing", and she claimed they did. I asked why was she working on a federal holiday. Got flustered and hung up.
Received apparently recorded message from IRS saying I needed to call this number immediately before they take action. Today is Veterans Day so would not expect IRS to be working or to call me from a Novato, CA exchange.
My father in law just got a call one hour ago claiming he ow 3900to the IRS something and that they have been calling him the last couple days and that 911 will call him to pick him up and plus she asked if he got bank account or properties crazyyyy and I just saw all these complains
