•You can also file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at FTC.gov. Add "IRS Telephone Scam" to the comments in your complaint.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
Just got the same call, did not answer but listened to the voicemail. It was a man with a foreign accent, said he was the IRS and wanted my name & case number. Told him I had no case number but I would like to have his name because I believed he was a scam artist. He said " F--k you" and that's when I hung up! The thing I find odd.....I could hear many voices in the background, indicating to me this was from a call center and this scam appears to a huge operation!
Got phone call today around 11:00 AM California time from the same number. Stating that her name is Julia Smith and she is a IRS officer and p call back immediately for hot matter,..etc. I picked up the phone but did not answer any thing.
I hope IRS or any Government agency track this number down and punish this woman ASAP.
