I reacived a call from this num and a man named paul answer and began telling me that he is from the irs and that i have a case with them concerning about some taxes that i own to them and that i have to pay those taxes immediately or i will be sent to jail for fraud then he proceed to ask me for my ss num i din't tell him nothing when i asking him to give me so some personal information he hung up the call, i try a couple of times to call back but a answering machine answer my calls and then all my calls were hung up, i'm from PR and the person who assisted my call at first told that i had a record concerning tax fraud in differents states over there, i been living in PR for about 26 years......
The recorded message says they are from the Internal Revenue Service and requested I call back to speak with someone. Knowing that is not how the IRS works, I first blocked my # and then called the # to see who would answer. They answered but then hung up without saying anything, I suspect because of blocked Caller ID.
received a call from this phone number said to call or action will be taken. so I call the number back and a indian answers saying they are from the irs in California and that I have a case open but that I need to provide my ss#. I didn't give them the number instead I ask what this call was about he said a case in California (I have lived in Arkansas since 2000) so how and why would I have a case in California so I ask the guy (said his name was paul) if he has proof that he is from the irs and the person hangs up. so I try to call back and goes to a voice mailbox. for one irs does not call let alone from a cell phone second they wouldn't be calling from another state. so I call again and same dude answers but uses a different name and proceeds to say same thing that I have a case that he needs my social to access it and I say I know for a fact irs do not call people and dude hung up again. what these people don't realize is that the world is getting to smart to give ss# to unknown people over the phone.
