got the call 12/6/14 10:13 am. answered phone and was a recording to call back for extremely sensitive issue from officer julie smith with IRS. do not disregard, call before actions are taken. I called 911 first and let them know. I then called the # and talked to a person that does not speak english very well(trying to be politically correct). they wanted my lawyers information, i did not give, they said i was being audited by the irs. they had sent multiple certified letters, and were going to send a warrant for arrest. IT IS A SCAM, POLICE CALLED ME BACK AND VERIFIED.
Received message 9:00 am, Dec.6, 2014 from CA phone #. Same message as others listed here....."Extremely sensitive..... Officer Julie Smith with IRS.....Do not disregard.....Return call before we take action." I was very skeptical, but returned call just to see what the caller would say. Got message saying caller not available and message machine full.....please call back. I will not!
We just received an automated call from this number today 12/8/2014 @ 11:55am stating the same info as the prior posters on this site. Urgent matter with Julie Smith from the IRS. Stated we needed to call them back ASAP or action would be taken. Also said to get attorney information on this. Stated to call them back. IT IS COMPLETELY A SCAM!! Do NOT call them back as it is totally NOT legitimate!
