I got a call from this number too it's from California saying it's IRS, Laura Smith and we have a major tax problem, just the kind of call you need after the holidays, what a scam and what a pain to deal with, like there isn;t enough in our life to deal with!
I received the following message twice today and I would like to report it:
"Julie Smith from IRS - The hot line to my division is 415-234-9703. Don't disregard this message, and do return this call before we take any action against you. Good bye and take care."
I called my accountant and I was informed that the IRS don't call in cases like this, they send letters. Phone conversations could happen only after receiving an initial letter.
Received several calls from this number. First they called and asked for Bob somebody. I said wrong number and gave them my name (mistake). Later they called back asking for me and the name of my criminal attorney.
