Another call from Julie Smith. We know this to be a scam...........the IRS will only notify you through the mail, certified I would think............giving this number over to the Police/or whomever needs to shut down this scammer big time
Total SCAM! We just got a long distance call from these con artists. The message they left warned us not to ignore the call and that we needed to call "Officer Julie Smith" from the IRS at 415-234-9703 "before they take action against us." I'm calling the CA State Police and the IRS to report them. It probably won't help, but these people are not legitimate and they are definitely trying to defraud us.
Hi, just as a follow-up. I called the San Francisco Police Department about this scammer at 415-234-9703 and "Julie Smith" of the fake IRS.....the SFPD Officer told me that she also got the same scam call and advised me to report it to my local police department (if I lived in San Francisco a report would be filed there). She said that it's a common scam and that it's been going on for a long time.
