You can't stop the calls from being initiated. The calls are coming from India or Pakistan. You can, however, protect yourself iwth a call blocker. Also do not pick up on calls you do not recognize.
I received a call from this number, and the girl also claimed I was approved for a $7000 loan.
All you have to do is submit 1 application for a loan, and the calls, texts and emails start. I also received a text message claiming I was approved for $5000, ànd, of course, asking me to purchase a card to "prove " I am able to make the unbelievably low payments. They even signed off as GE Finance.
What I have found to be common to these scams is:
1. 99% of the people who have called have had thick Indian accents.
2. Any written correspondence has always been poorly written, with misspellings and pitiful grammar.
3. Nothing is ever stated in clear, precise language. There is no " Terms of Use" or "privacy policy" to read and agree to.
Think about it: no legitimate lender is going to leave you a voicemail message stating the amount of à loan you have been approved for. That is very personal and private information that a legit lender won't even release to YOU if you can't answer specific questions to prove your identity.
I know how it feels to want and need to consolidate bills and ease the stress of having too many bills to pay. But don't fall for some offer that is too good to be true. There are many people out there that have no conscience, ànd won't hesitate to take your money. If you are skeptical about an offer, take the time to Google the company name, or even the phone number. Do your homework and save yourself from these crooks!
I received a call from this number also . A person named Lisa Mcguire and telling I have been approved for $7000 dollars . yeah right !! I have very poor credit unfortuantly but knew I couldn't get 7000 dollars . Advance America has called here 4 times so far 2 calls were from this Lisa and the other 2 were men that I could hardly understand . Today I called the # 1-415-251-4981 and a message is on there and says that a mail box # has not been assigned yet . SCAMMERS !!! Something has to be done to stop these scammers from ripping off innocent people who are in financial trouble and need a few bucks t get them thru until they get paid . We must contact our Government officials or someone to stop these terrible , horrible people. I don't know how they can sleep at night knowing what they are doing to people . They will get theirs !! What goes around , comes around !
