I got a call today from number 2025069049 he left a message saying I needed to call back about the IRS I called and he said that I'm going to prison for 5 years and is ordering a warrant. At first I freaked out who wouldn't, I didn't understand how I could have dune anything wrong. So I called the Sheriff's Office. And they informed me that the IRS does not call about tax related issues and normally you will get a letter. And the IRS will have a meeting with you they don't just automatically just throw you in jail. He said his name was Steve Foster I could hear somebody an interpreter because this man could not speak English very well at all. Which once I calm down. I just could not get my head around why he needed somebody to tell him what to say. If you feel that you have any problems with the IRS go into their office. Don't hire anybody, figure out what the situation is before you try to figure it out and try to get whatever your problem you have solved. I believe this is a scam and I want to notify everybody. I'm at a very high risk pregnancy so I'm not supposed to stress I'm supposed to stay calm and relax I just don't want anybody to go through what I have done today. So be careful do not give out any information if its the IRS they would already know everything can explain to you what is going on. And as I said you would normally get a letter in the mail. So beware do not give your social security numbers out bank account information and don't hire anybody to help you and tell you know if it's something that you need help with.
IRS Tax Scam. They have called twice requesting to speak with my husband (who happens to be from another country) indicating that he has a tax issue. As his LLC is currently having a minor issue I was hesitant to dismiss the call even though the extremely heavy accent and time of call (just after 7am EST) led me to believe it was a scam. I read somewhere this particular group targets immigrants with threats of immediate action if they don't settle the supposed IRS fines within the day. What they didn't know when calling my house is that my husband happens to love pranking scammers and callers with the wrong number. He also happens to be Nigerian and knows all too well there are scammers out there trying to take advantage of anyone that falls for the lie. No such luck here. They finally became frustrated with our responses and decided we were too big a waste of time.
I also received calls from them, same day (February 12/2014). I called the number back and a guy said that I have a tax issue and IRS is having a lawsuit on me. I realized that it is a scam.
