I got a call today from number 2025069049 he left a message saying I needed to call back about the IRS I called and he said that I'm going to prison for 5 years and is ordering a warrant. At first I freaked out who wouldn't, I didn't understand how I could have dune anything wrong. So I called the Sheriff's Office. And they informed me that the IRS does not call about tax related issues and normally you will get a letter. And the IRS will have a meeting with you they don't just automatically just throw you in jail. He said his name was Steve Foster I could hear somebody an interpreter because this man could not speak English very well at all. Which once I calm down. I just could not get my head around why he needed somebody to tell him what to say. If you feel that you have any problems with the IRS go into their office. Don't hire anybody, figure out what the situation is before you try to figure it out and try to get whatever your problem you have solved. I believe this is a scam and I want to notify everybody. I'm at a very high risk pregnancy so I'm not supposed to stress I'm supposed to stay calm and relax I just don't want anybody to go through what I have done today. So be careful do not give out any information if its the IRS they would already know everything can explain to you what is going on. And as I said you would normally get a letter in the mail. So beware do not give your social security numbers out bank account information and don't hire anybody to help you and tell you know if it's something that you need help with.
I received a call today (Feb, 14th, 2014) from them.
Demanded that I write down their number and have my parents call back later.
Thick accent, a completely rude attitude.
Total scam.
They called at 8am Saturday 2/15... Heavy accent, nasty attitude... when I asked for him to transfer me to a supervisor, he said the supervisor was sleeping! i could hear other people talking in the background and when I asked again what this was about and where he was calling from, he screamed really horrible obscenities at me....
This person called at 6:45 AM asking for my husband. The person had an Indian accent, but did not prounounce our name, which is Indian, correctly. As I had received another call just yesterday from a totally different number pretending to be from the "Federal Criminal Investigation Bureau," I was sure it was a scam and just hung up. I would block the number, but it will just come back again from another number. These guys rely on getting one sucker out of a thousand to make worth the effort.
He called after 7am Saturday morning-couldn't pronounce my husband's name, claimed it was very important mal-practice IRS matter-uh, yeah? Very strong accent-I would hope IRS would at least use american citizens to make phone calls. But, also, if you do ever get audited-you won't get informed by a phone call, it will be delivered in the form of a letter, from USPS. SCAM! Don't even call back
received a call from this # also today, Sat 2/15 at 807am. caller id says Novato, CA so it would only be 507am there?? right? didn't answer as I never answer these caller id type calls. just happened to see now that I have a new voicemail and same as above, thick accent same IRS type scam. a little unnerving if you ask me!
