Same here - got a call today, message was to call 415-287-3798, saying our Credit Union card had been suspended." I called the number and got a female with accent - that was my second clue that something was wrong. Seems like we should have the government resources to put these folks where they belong and protect the citizens!
I also just got a call on my phone that came up "unknown caller" and didn't asnwer. The automated teller service stated the same thing that I needed to call 415-287-4150 because my card has been suspended. Then they mentioned a 152873798 number. DON'T RESPOND! I just call my bank to verify, and she said they are getting numerous calls in for this and to not call them back!!! She said she already has my information so they would never ask for it. Anyone who gets this, PLEASE DISREGARD!
I received a call this morning from on my work phone, with the message that my Three Rivers Federal Credit Union card was suspended. I do not hold this card and neither does the company I work for. I also dont give my work numer out that frequently, so I knew that it was fishy.
I got the call at around 6:30 this morning. I considered calling the number and giving them a bunch of fake information and then letting somebody else nail them when they tried to act on it. But that seemed like too much work, so I called the FBI instead. They have the resources to find out who belongs to that number.
Thanks for all of this info! My wife got the same message this morning and I said it sounded weird. I tried to call but didn't get through, then plugged the phone number into Google and got this page. Thanks for confirming my suspicions that it was a scam. Now I just hope they don't call again and wake up my family!
