Yes I got a call too. IRS does not cold call you. IRS will send letter first. Do not give out your SS#. I have been audited so I know how the IRS works.
They said it was the IRS and I needed to call them right away. It was a canned message I tried to intérupt the caller and was unable to. The person voice on the recording sounded like they were from some other country. I did not return the call the IRS doesn't call you you have to call them. I have had several major dealings with the IRS in the past.
