I've received calls from this number three times in three days. The call quality is always poor. Each time, the caller asks by name for someone who hasn't worked here in over a year (despite me informing them of such the first two times they called). The first two times, they said they were calling from Dell regarding data centers--that is all the information I could get out of them, as they would not provide a message or callback number. The third time, I asked them to please remove our number from their calling list.
I got the call 6 times today. I think they are testing your system, trying to find a hole. I have a PBX and did some checks each time they called, I see that in the logs they tried to activate the DND feature ( Do not disturb ) and then called back to the same extension.
My conclusion is that they are calling your system to try and find a hole in it, then they can use it to bounce the call out in order to make long distance calls using your PBX.
It's 7:30 am on a Saturday morning and I get this call - he asked is this was the right number for "insert my full name" and then hung up. When I tried to call the number back I got weird automated re-routing messages and a request to leave a message which I did not.
I recieved a call from this number. I could tell from the background noise that is was a call center. They asked for me by name and I asked them to hold please then I went to lunch. When I got back they had called back one more time and left a blank VM.
Called 4 times in 3 minutes while i was in a meeting. Left no message. I called the number back and was told the Google subscriber was not available atm and to leave a message: which I did not do.
