I finally decided to pick up the call; it's come in before but I never picked up and there was no message. Something about a free medical alert and also $3000 worth of grocery certificates. My phone is set for four rings before going into voice mail and this number just kept ringing and ringing. First thing the caller said is this is not a sales call so don't hang up! These scammers try anything to get your attention!
The caller stated my granddaughter had been arrested and needed emergency funds. I granddaughter was OK. I cussed out caller and hung up. Don't fall for this BS. They are trying to rip you off and steal your hard-earned money.
This is a new twist on a scam started last year. They started out telling you that your hospital has authorized the sale of a necklace because of seniors falling down. They tell you that they need your social security number to send it. I just laughed at him and asked him if he could touch his toes. He said, "Uh, yeah," so I told him "Good...it'll come in handy in prison."
Still they call. Just block if you can, and report to the do not call registry, although I've come to believe that they do nothing.
This is not AARP selling numbers. This is no good, low lifes too lazy to work.
