Called today, no message

Asked for me by name, claimed he was Bruce, but would not provide a last name and then hung up.....

Got a missed call last week, no message left.  Pick-up the call last night, a man claim he's calling from police association.  Dial this number just now from another number, a lady answered:"Good afternoon, how may I direct your call?"  I waited and kept silence then the lady hang up almost immediately (less than 2 second)  Suspicious!

Why do cold calling scammers, based in Greenville, SC, hide behind a San Francisco phone number. "Facebook reputation" enforcer? Like heck...

Just got a call from this number, male introduced himself as Paul Andersen from SF Police Department. He was saying that he was calling regarding some organization that helps keep kids out of trouble. Then he asked me if I still lived at my address and named it. It was past 8 pm when he called. I said i'd have to call him back because I was driving and he hang up.
