I am receiving calls from someone who is selling a scam about how I have on a $500 gift card to Wal-mart, Target or any other facility I want. He said he got my cell number from when I recently went shopping at one of those facilities and only 15 people win and I was picked as one of those people. That is kind of funny being that I have never had to give out my cell number when I shop at Wal-mart so how would they get my number to apparently win this gift card, I knew right than and there this is a scam! the only thing they needed for me to get this 500 gift card was to pay for the shipping and handling. The guy who had a very strong ascent said his name was Andrew James , he said he was a Promotional Consulting from a company named Select Benefits, he gave me the address of AD 216 Street. Phoenix, Arizona. he said to receive my free $500 gift card I just need to pay $4.95 for shipping and handling, I said ok when I receive it I will pay cash for the shipping and handling and he said no the only way we can send the gift card is by paying for the shipping and handling with a debit or Visa or Mastercard. I told them no I DON'T GIVE OUT MY NUMBER TO ANYBODY. I said if I won the card I should be able to pay for the shipping with cash and he went on and on on why he cannot take cash I have to use my visa, mastercard or debit card. I said no thank you, this sound like a scam and I hung up, well he automatically called me back two times in a row. When they call my caller ID comes up SPL Deals on one call and the other call came from a Value Options. The calls need to stop and so does this scam! I can only imagine how many people with a lack of common sence or just with of a lack of knowledge mostly the elderly that they are getting scammed. They need to be stopped!!!
Caller type scam about winning a $500 gift card to Wal-mart from SPL Deals # 1-415-363-5658.... Please tell everyone and mostly your elderly family and friends about this scam before it happens to them. They got my number when I was looking for financial help on getting a grant in my community and there was an option to fill out this survey and you can get a $500 gift card to Wal-Mart using the Wal-Mart logo, when I was done with the survey they asked for my cell number and email address, they have been harassing me ever since. I should have known there is no such thing as free money and I should have known better than giving out that kind of information. Lesson learned!!!
