Unfortunately, no it won't. However, unless you are either a really good armchair detective or law enforcement, odds are good that you will not be able to find out who this is on your own. All you can really do about this one is report it to Facebook. If they are using the same IP each time, eventually, Facebook will catch on and be able to ban them from use of the site.
You are all doing the right thing by reporting each name change and method. That definitely helps others identify it for what it is and it stops them from being able to use the accounts you report.
My suggestion to each of you is that if you have your phone numbers or email addresses visible on your profile, go into your settings and hide them. Also, change your password frequently and do not make them easy to guess. This will help you avoid being hacked and getting unwanted calls from that particular source. Don't accept friend requests from people you don't know and don't have mutual friends with. And if you suspect it's a fake account being used to scam, report it.
what i fear is, that the person is going to continue to attack my friends list. im associated with a bunch of idiots on there who see a hot girl and immediately think "wow, i should text this number" their to blinded to check the area code first. im going to report all other profiles i find like that but this one in particular, im going to do some work of my own on and hopefully make contact with the attacker. the attacker is reading my messages. im bothering them till they reply. im making progress.
I understand completely. I truly hope you can find them and shut them down. Something else that may be helpful to you is to hide your friend list. You can do this within your privacy settings as well.
