Im not sure we have received calls from this number too - it was advertising offer - the call came in saying ATT Pay Per call. Im not too sure but our business pays for ATT Pay per call advertising. Seems like most of the calls that come in are call junk calls. In addition to that - some callers that call from other numbers are surprized when we answer and they comment that wasn't what they had asked for - who ? operator? I have no idea. But I really hope this isn't a scam set up to those subscribing to Pay Per call. If that is what it is they are taking PPC dollars with scam calls
They called me stating that her name was Lashawn calling on behalf of Windsor for Ron Jon's Surf Shop. They had renovations and wanted to invite guests out to look around at the changes. They said if we show up, we get a $25 gas card, $25 dining card, and a 3 day/2 night stay anywhere within 1 year of approved hotels. they asked for my name/spouse's name/ email address and phone number. they did not ask for credit card info or any real person information. they said to look for the email and come by on Saturday at 2pm. I'm not sure if its a scam yet or not.
We use AT&T pay-per-call. I can confirm that the number is from AT&T pay-per-call. AT&T uses several different media partners. Most of them can pass the caller ID through to your call center. But there are some that cannot. If you get a call from one of their partners that cannot pass through the caller ID, they use a placeholder number of 415-373-0000.
It is not a prank. You are receiving calls from this number because you are an advertiser on AT&T pay-per-call or because someone is using your phone number in error in their ads.
