We received two calls from this number purporting to be representing the IRS. I googled the number and found others who had reported receiving calls in the same week from the same number from the scammer. I also looked up what the IRS website had to say about "IRS Scams". You can expect the IRS to sent you a letter by mail if they need to communicate with you on an issue, NOT phone calls and emails.
Received call at 0900 hrs on Thursday 16Jul2015 .. recording stating it was from the IRS.. call back or have your attorney call back or they would be taking action ..be careful this is a bogus call from the IRS.
Total scam. They called at 6:45 am. I only believed it because I am currently working something out with the IRS. I called them back. Somebody called me back asking who I am. I said, "you should know who I am if you called me. This is a scam". He answers, " if you think it's a scam, simply hang up." Like the IRS would say that.
Received a call at 7:36 am 07/16/2015, return call ask for Julie Smith, was told by a so call supervisor name Micheal she was busy and need to know when can make payment arrangement but could not tell me how much I owed IRS. I asked him why he was calling and why did he need my address to send a officer from IRS to discuss my terms. If you are IRS you have all that information. So this person hung up on me 4 times. This is a fraud number and a scam.
Called me to today saying that if I didn't pay the irs 2500$ with in an hour they would put an arrest warrent out for me. Guy with an Indian accent answered the phone and hung up on me.
