SCAM! Person called representing to be from our credit card processor and knew our merchant number (both identifiable from any transaction we may have ran), with a "courtesy call" for us to log in to our account to review "some ways you can make more money," which didn't make any sense. Plus the area code was wrong and the number didn't ID. So I put him off and called our processor after hanging up. Sure enough, they confirmed that they did NOT make this call and that this person was trying to hack our account.
I received a call from someone named, Jordan Chan.
He said that he is calling from my merchant services and there is a feature that I'm I can use without any charges because this is already part of my account with my merchant services.
He requested me to type TSYS.CC. When I did that it took me to a website https://tsysmerchantinsights.com.
Then he asked me to enter verification code on the website to activate some Merchant Insights Essentials, which I refused as I could not identify him over the phone.
Initially this person's call came from 415-483-9362. When I informed him that I would call him back after I verify who he is, he gave me his phone 888-997-4690. When I called back 888 number, it just rings into female voicemail saying "Thank you for calling merchant services. Please leave a message." Voicemail does not to mention my merchant services at all.
Please ignore my comments above. I emailed my merchant services and was informed that these guys are partner of theirs. They suggest looking into their tools.
This is legit. I contacted TSYS, our processor, and received the following: "Yep they are legit, Womply is a third party we use that can help assist you in setting up your dashboard as in Facebook, yelp, twitter and so on. Please keep in mind there is a free dashboard and then there is one that will cost you $19,99 a month, so make sure you let them know which one you want if any." So that's the only thing to be wary of; that you get the free dashboard.
