I'm fed-up with scammers. This jerk called today said to call Officer Julie smith back. I phoned it back they said goodafternoon IRS. The recorded call says, at the end of their message TAKE CARE. This is a scam, the IRS never phones you, they usually send a certified letter to the door if you do owe!! smdh
Let's see if I have this correctly. I'm guilty of tax fraud. If I don't send them $3,000.00 the IRS will scoop-up my savings, checking, credit cards, and, oh, yea, my driver's license (?). I have an on-going issue with the IRS, so some of this malarkey rang true-enough to unnerve me for a few seconds. The fact is that the IRS told me a ruling on my issues would come down in January. How goofy would it be for them to come down hard on me with a resolution for the near future already promised?
And, yes, the final words to me were, "Take care." Tho Americans sometimes use that idiomatic phrase, we all know the more popular sign off is, "Adios."

This is a total scam being run out of India and Pakistan. IRS does not cold call people and request money. All communications of this nature are by US mail. All rulings can be appealed. Ignore the call and block the number.
