Received phone call from this number just a few minutes ago. They're definitely relentless in their pursuits! Same as all of you have described above. Don't give them ANY info, don't return their call. Report via IRS.gov.
This is a caller from the IRS. Or so they say and it sounds threatening. I understand the IRS does not work by phone calls that they communicate by USPS or in person. Be careful when you receive calls from these people as they scare the hell out of you and this is nothing more than a scam.
I got a call saying IRS is going to get me etc. they asked for my tax is and ss I said how do I know your not the IRS they laughed and hung up! Major scam thank God I did not leave any information!
Same nonsense here.... Message left on my answering machine on a Saturday morning with a robotic, computer-synthesized female voice claiming to be "Officer Julie Smith from the IRS" saying "Do not ignore this message or we will take action against you". Totally bogus phishing scam. The IRS won't contact you by a "robocall". The IRS has "agents", not "officers". The only people who fall for this have to be totally brain dead.
