Andy or Eddie Parker, couldn't understand because of heavy accent, from Dept. of Legal Affairs. Wanted my son to call him back at 415-506-2415. Needless to say we won't be returning his call!
Received call from number last night said he was from legal affairs. Received call months earlier from same guy saying he was with IRS and gave me badge # but knucklehead didn't leave a number. SCAM for sure...not taking time to even return call.
SCAM, SCAM - They called saying they are from the IRS, and I have outstanding taxes, and I will be arrested later today if I don't pay right now over the phone.....
He called himself Andy Parker, but had a heavy Indian accent. He kept saying that he will send the local police department to arrest me if I hung up the phone.
Too bad I'm a CPA, the IRS does not make calls like this, especially without sending paperwork about outstanding tax liabilities.
Also he claimed the outstanding tax liability is from 2010...
