I have received 11 phone calls on my cell phone in less than a week from this number. No message left. I answered the call this morning and the person did not identify himself or the company until I asked. It's Charter Communications. My cell phone is on the do not call registry and I asked how Charter got my number, but could not get an answer - only that it was an automated call from a call list. The Charter rep suggested that I had called them to initiate the barrage of calls and they were calling to offer products. We live in an area where there is no Charter Communications services - and there has never been any Charter services where we live. Obviously, I would not call Charter to inquire into services that are not available in our area and I definitely would not have called from my cell phone number. I was told it would take up to 45 days to get my number on Charter's internal do not call list. It doesn't take 45 days to delete a phone number from a system. After telling the first caller today to remove my number, I received a second call in less than 2 hours. When I answered, the call disconnected. I called back and again told them to immediately remove my number because (1) it was already on the do not call registry and I am not a Charter customer (or customer of any affiliate of Charter) and (2) Charter does not offer any services in our area.
