Today I received two calls from the same place calling for some fundraising organization...call came from this number (713-581-1191) saying "anonymous." Later, also this morning another call came in (415-524-0198) saying San Rafael, OR. When called back (using *67 to hide my number) I get the same recorded message for both lines.
Yesterday I also recieved a call from the 713 number with the same recorded message. See my post under the number 713581-1191.
I rec'd two call from the 713-581-1191 number leaving NO message yesterday and this morning. IN the afternoon got call from 415- -524-0198 again leaving no message. Even though all my telephones are on the DPO NOT CALL list...these people still call! What good is it?
Got two calls today. Both said " I " and then the number. The second one was this number and the first while I was out was 713 955 5661. I answered this one because I wanted to know who it was. Fund raising for Police. I have no problem donating to the Police but I don't trust these guys. Anyway the first accidentally left a voice mail. He asked for my husband and it was the same voice that I had just talked to on the other number. Smacks of dishonesty to me.
They also use 510-671-8305 (CID reflects "I" for caller name). They never leave messages, only hang-ups. I've asked them many times to remove me from all of their lists but they just change calling numbers. A few years ago I let them send me donation paperwork, and the donation was not tax-deductible. As I understand it, that means they are probably not non-profit, which should disqualify any exemption they might otherwise have from the do-not-call list.
Big time scammers. Trying to raise money for the Police department. This guy called me several times a year and two years ago. I recognize his voice. He says the same thing about sending you a d Cal and to put it on your are with pride and all that BS. The police department does not solicit for money. Those days are gone. Everyone calling now on the phone that has to do with money is a scam. I feel bad for the innocent and the elderly. Hope they read these comments everyone has written. I work with the Sheriff's depth I my area and they will tell you it's criminals calling you.
