caller ID said sandra gibson. when I said hello there was a pause and then a recording of a male voice talking very fast, giving a number to call to donate to some charitable organization.
Has called twice in the last two days. Caller ID shows "Out Of Area" but I live in the same area code they are calling from. I let the machine answer and they leave no message.
Call came into my Cable Phone Voice-Mail,
Mail voice didn't recognize He was being recorded, He must have been having a private conversation on his Mobile Phone.
I called this phone, a different Male Voice answered as though it were a private residence.
I said you called me, and they hung up.
I received a call from this number at around 5:00 PM on July 25, 2013. I received the call on my cell phone. I took a chance and answered --- I normally do not answer calls from numbers I do not recognize. He identified himself as "working with the San Francisco Police." I knew right away where this was going. I asked him if he was representing the Police Athletics League. He said: "yes I am." Anticipating his "hard sell" --- I politely declined to give any money. The PAL is (was) notorious in and around San Francisco as a "questionable" charity.
