Got this same recording from a robotic voive. Knew it was a scam so called back to confront the caller. He asked for my name..I Said 'you called me!' I started to laugh..he got agitated and ask why i was laughing. I said I knew this was a scam he said ..snarky like..how would you know that. I said please don't call again and as I was about to hang up he said "f**k you!!!! I said ohhhh now the IRS is saying f**k you to me..that's just great! Could not even imagine someone being so brazen and rude.
Got a call from this number with recorded message supposedly from the IRS. After calling them back, said I was being charged with fraud and was being issued an arrest warrant. When I explained that I had a CPA and offered to give them his information to handle it, they became very aggressive and demanding I make payments today or go to jail. Looked into it and this number is not listed with the IRS at all. Complete scam from what the CPA and FBI said.
I got an automated voice message from this number. It said it was the IRS. I called back because I just got this number and lots of people have been calling and trying to reach the guy who used to have this phone number. A man answered the phone and I explained that the number they called no longer belonged to the previous guy. The man asked my name, which I gave him. He then asked for my old phone number, which I refused to give him. He then asked for "the phone number you have with the IRS". I asked him for his name... and he was silent. I asked again... silence. I asked how he is with the IRS... silence. Eventually, he very quickly rattled off a long name that sounded Indian. He said "You can't even pronounce that" in a snarky tone, and hung up on me. This is a scam.
First I received a recorded message from a female. Her name was Nicky Johnson, with the IRS.
She left me a number to call her back on, which was the same number she called from. So I call back, a man answers. He had a accent it sounded Asian, could of been Indian. Telling me I was being sued by the IRS, for back taxes. I told him I haven't worked in 15 years, and the only money I receive is from the state, and that he would have to take it up with them. He didn't like that at all. Then I said I would talk to my husband about it. He is a tax lawyer with the state. Quite, I thought the phone was dead. Finally he said when I call back, to ask for Nicky Johnson. Then he hung up. Lol, don't they know who their even calling.
Thank you I received a call from this number as well stating if I didn't pay I was going to jail. Thanks for your post because I did not believe that this was a representative from the IRS.
