Person with the name of Mark Henry called & said he was calling from legal authorization center & said that for me to return his call the very second I got this message or all he could do was wish me good luck in what was about to occur. I received a very similar call a few weeks ago from another number. That time the persons name was Justin Smith & the lead attorneys name was Jason Conners. That time it was a scam & I told this person that it was a scam & to not call me again because I knew it was a scam & that I would be reporting them to the US attorney's office. They asked me to verify my name & phone number. I verified my name but refused to verify any other information.
I just got the same call from a Mark Henry...it it a total scam...I am so glad that I googled it because it was very scary. He said to call the minute I received the call and if not he wished me good luck.
I was unable to make out the perons name but it was just like the messages above. It was a very scary call because they new my past bank accout number that was now closed. When I called back I could not understand the caller and he was speaking about I may go to jail for laundrying money. And wanted me to settle the case right then. The more he spoke the more scared I got and told them I would call them back. But this morning I googled the number and found the information above. I am waiting for them to call back so I can tell them that I have seeked legal advice. What are they trying to do?
Please let me know what they say because I received a call again today saying the same thing. They could not give me any specific information but money laundering was brought up and they did know my past banking information. He could not tell me anything specific but said I owed money. I am up to date or in touch with all of my creditors so I know this is false!
I have recieved no less than 5 of these calls in the last year. All are from different # and they all say the same basic thing, that they are going to come and arrest me at work and they have even been bold enough to call my boss at work. It is a total scam, they all have very generic American names, but can't even speak english, that is your first clue. I have called every state's Attorny General's office that the calls have come from and reported them to the FTC twice. I just got another phone call this morning. They called three times in a row. Just tell them that you are going to record the conversation so you don't miss anything, or that you have already reported them to the FTC. I wish I could get ahold of one of these [***].
