Turned on my cell and the same phone number was there - I missed the call - thank goodness. Thanks for giving me a heads up. I have disabled my text messaging so that is probably why I didn't get a message.
I have received calls and text messages from these same numbers. The first time was a phone call on my cell. I didn't recognize the number but answered. It was a man with an Eastern Indian accent on the other line offering me $200 to my favorite gas station, and wanted to know what station that was. I told him that nothing is free, I wasn't interested and asked how he got my phone number. He said I visited a website, but would not identify which one. I told him I didn't want the offer, and not to call again, but he wouldn't get off the line so I finally just hung up. Now I receive text messages about once a week from the 415 number. The text says "thanks 4 visiting our website and offering the $200 Walmart deal." This all began the day after I visited a website for a free trial sample for a teeth whitening product. Don't know if they are linked. I called the 415 number and get the "please leave a message...but there is a click and you then get "message box full, so try call again." Imagine that! I called the 800 number from a land line and got a man again with an Eastern Indian accent. I asked who he was and he said "Sam" and when I asked him what the company name was he worked for...he asked if I was calling for $200. Again I asked what company he worked for. He wouldn't answer so I hung up. I haven't responded to any of the emails received. The land line I used isn't traceable. If someone figures out how to make this stop...be sure to share!
I just got one of these texts. My cell is listed as "do not call". I do not know how they got it, but will not respond. I have been told that it is illegal to text spam like this, as it costs money to the recipient. Can we sue the owner of the phone number? Class action suit, anyone?

I decided to search the caller's number and found this website...glad to know I'm not the only one getting texts!
I just got a text from that company too. I called the 877 number and asked them how they got my phone number and requested to be taken off of their texting list. The person hung up on me. I just reported them to the do not call registry: https://www.donotcall.gov/.
