Turned on my cell and the same phone number was there - I missed the call - thank goodness. Thanks for giving me a heads up. I have disabled my text messaging so that is probably why I didn't get a message.
I got a a text from the number at 6:30 this evening while I was eating dinner.
"Thx 4 Visiting Our Site Call 1-877-676-1511 To Claim Your $250.00 Gift Card! Txt Stop 2Quit Help 4 Help"
I obviously did not visit any website since I was eating dinner. I received another text earlier last week that was almost the same thing but deleted it thinking nothing of it. Now, I wish I would've kept it so I could've compared numbers!
I think I might need to take a trip to the phone company to see if they're selling my number or something, seeing as I do not give my number out online to any websites. That is what my house number is for.
NEVER send STOP to something you didn't subscribe to. These companies use responses to tell which numbers are actually good. If you respond they know your cell# is current and gets texts so it will continue to text you and sell you # to other companies
I got a text from this number saying I won a $20 gift card from walmart and $50 gas card and to call 877-746-0964 to redeem. I called them and asked them what website I visited that they got my info from and they just hung up on me. how rude
