Yes on 9/22...threats regarding some make believe loan and sending police to my work. Screaming at me on phone...bogus...

Called claiming he was an officer with the Criminal Investigation Department and a federal agency.  Jack Marshall is his name.

Has been calling us for several days. Saying we owe on our tax return. And wants payment now to avoid any legal action from IRS.

Someone with an accent says he is Jack Marshall from the IRS.  You have a problem with a past income tax statement, you did not reply to their letter, and this is your last chance to settle. After refusing, they said they would fax a letter to my local police department and gave me a name.  Ten minutes later a phone call from "emergency contact" on my phone says he is the local police (by the same name) and they received a fax from the IRS.

THIS IS A HOAX.  It sounds very legitimate and real.  Local police have been getting many call about this.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
