It was Charter, promoting a special package deal. The guy tried six ways from Sunday to convince me that paying them more for their package (more tv programs I would never watch), was a better deal than the $7.99 a month I now pay Netflix.
Fraudster falsely claiming to be from our isp called at 9:45 pm. Thought it might be family in the Bay Area so answered. Female caller insisted she was with our "internet service provider" and then squealed a word. After being asked to repeat the word several times it turned out she was saying "Charter." My husband asked her if she thought Charter was our isp and she apparently confirmed that. My husband hung up at that point since our isp is a local Indian tribe. Don't answer the phone for these scum-sucking, bottom-dwelling crooks.
Received 3 calls from this number in the past week (9/15, 18, 19) on my cell phone, did not answer the last 2, I did answer the first one and no one was there. I pay by the minute for my cell phone, not sure how they got my number...it doesn't make me happy.
