I actually spoke to the guy. He was rude and tried telling me he was a U.S Treasury rep. He explained my taxes were improperly filed in 2012. When I asked him questions, he said I was being rude and I should let him finish his sentence. I realized it was a scam when I demanded he give me the address associated with this claim against me and asked him what my social was. He ended up hanging up on me.
name is Steve Martin \9foreign) sounding a** of a man. Said he was withthe bUS Treasury and thatthis was a motion vto contact you (never gave a name of who he wanted) Most definiately a scam. US Treasury does not have bill collecters . If they have a beef with you they contact you by mail.
a recorded message stating he represented the IRS... The man sounds like an Indian but speaks good English. Hung up before the message finished for I knew it was a scam.
I received 2 messages as well, tried calling back and message states "leave a message, mailbox is full, I'm sorry an error has occurred" then disconnectes
I called him back he left a voicemail, I reported him to Washington D.C. Federal IRS impersonating office(or something like that) got the number from the IRS. Had them look into my status as far as his claim, I am fine.He was very rude and his English was not the greatest, he transferred my phone call to another person that of whom didn't speak very good English either. We do have a magistrate judge but they normally help in divorce court. They are a lower level judge.
