While I also find them annoying?? Each of you complaining at some point, went out there and looked for health insurance. You put your phone number out there...so that's why they are calling. Same thing happened to me. This is not unsolicited or in any way illegal..you gave them your telephone number. What I did do was say 'yes' to the recording that I wanted to speak to someone about health insurance (I looked for insurance LAST YEAR!!) when the employee came on the line, I made myself very clear that if they did not remove my number, I would file a complaint and they would be fined, since I now have asked them to stop calling. Haven't received a call since that day! However, the next best solution?? Simply don't answer the call!
They won't stop calling me! At least twice a day. It's one of those "smart" robot calls, where there is a real person on the other end, likely in India, with a switchboard of canned responses.
They say they're from the "Health Insurance Enrollment Center", which is fake and not affiliated with the real health insurance marketplace (healthcare.gov)
For a while my phones call blocker stopped these calls, but today they started using a different 415 area code number.
This number called my home 13 times in a row for an hour and every time we would answer they would hang up and when we would call back it would say this number is no longer in service this should be illegal.
Oh Yea
The harassing phone calls definitely start after after you contact a website on medicare/health insurance. The aggravating
thing is that when you answer the phone there is no one on the other side. You hang up and in a few minutes later they call again with the same results.
