Someone claiming they were from "The Logic Group", When I asked to be removed from their call list, the caller said, "I can't remove you, our software automatically dials random numbers." I asked again to be removed from the list and she again said that their software could not be overridden. I asked what kind of company The Logic Group was and she said something about surveys or opinions. I asked who the information gets sold to and she didn't know. I asked if they had a website and she said no. I asked why the phone number comes up as 416-000-0000 and she said, "Our software does that." Sounds pretty fishy to me.
first it said it was Microsoft, saying my computer was benign hacked after going into my CMD command prompt to type craft that I didn't do she said a hole bunch of numbers and letters to see if they matched my system, I told her no it did than she transfused me to her supervisor, when he started he asked me if I knew what was wrong with my PC, I told him there was nothing wrong with it. he stated that I was Ripping (illegal copy) of windows. I told him it wasn't, he told me he was in the usa in New York, than I said he was not. than he said 'who the [***] are you' and I told him I was a computer system tech, witch I took for 3 years and still learning, he said I was BS than hung up
Consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
