I'm always getting calls from this number and just wait for the caller to leave message but he never does. I don't usually answer the phone when my caller ID says UNKNOWN.
I just received the call from this number and was able to keep him on the line for almost 10 minutes. He then asked me if I wanted to give him some information.. name, etc... and I told him that I was not interested and my only motivation was to keep him on the line as long as possible so he wouldn't be able to bother anyone else with his intrusive calls. He seemed a little disappointing but I said "call any time"..... he said he didn't think he would.
By the way.... my record is 14 minutes with some moron from Regina who wanted to clean my carpets if I paid up front. I figure the longer I can keep these clowns on the phone, the fewer people he will be able to annoy.
Received the same call, sounds like the same man with accent offing 40% savings in hydro saying he had our hydro bill when questioned he wasn't able to give us our hydro bill statement. He kept saying it was over 100 dollars. When challenged he kept lowering the number. Ask him to remove us from the phone list and he refused to. I asked if we could talk with a supervisor and he refused, told him I was calling the police saying we had his phone number because 1 760 705 8888 came up on the phone. At this point he hung up. Have had calls before from this same man with the same accent for other dealings and he was very rude everytime. I think this is some kind of scam because call centers have quality assurance that monitors this kind of behaviour and he would have been fired long ago!
I was looking to see if others had experienced calls like this and found this thread. My dad received a call claiming to be from VISA in regards to his credit card. The man had an Indian accent as well. As soon as my dad said he didn't have a VISA card the man said "Why don't you kill yourself?" My dad asked to speak to the supervisor, again the creep asked, "Why don't you kill yourself?" My dad finually hung up. The guy asked this question 5 times during the call. My parents don't have caller ID and he didn't think *69 would help because he believed it was VISA because it began with the recording. I hope karma catches up with this guy.
