SMS stands for "Short Message Service" which is the common international verbage for what we refer to as "text" messaging.
I also had to learn this - luckily I have a cousin overseas!
Simple, eh ?! Thanks for the heads up about the Microsoft scam which has been going on now for... years - blame our collective Governments AND the phone service providers for taking NO action !!
Called number back anonymously and it's " NOT ASSIGNED " so once again an unscrupulous telemarketer using a SPOOFED number. Per other comments on this site it's the old Microsoft SCAM... again...and AGAIN !!

How refreshing to hear a lady's voice from this number for a change. I think she said her name is Alina. I would have loved to chat her up but I knew, from the short delay after answering, what it would be about. Poor kid, can't she find a better way to earn her living?
I've been getting calls from these idiots for half a year now, sometimes multiple times on a daily basis. I never pick up and they never leave a message.
