I received a call from this number at 1:45AM.....yes, the middle of the night! I have nothing to do with Hostway, never even heard of them until I received this call. By the time I got to the phone, my voicemail picked up - I received only part of the message..."transferred to our security department to activate your account" was the part of the recorded message left on my machine.
Missed a call from the yesterday and picked one up today. They asked for someone I have never heard of, then asked if I knew the person. When I answered no to both, she asked if I'd recently purchased a phone from Fido, which I have not though I am a Fido customer. My concern, is that if this is Fido, or more likely a telemarketer hired by Fido, why would they have my Fido number under a different name. I think I will be calling in to verify no weird activity on my account.
What was the name asked to you? The same thing happen to me. What bothering me, I've got those questions when i called the customer service for a bill from FIDO, for a cell i have never purchase. The bill was the January 13th, and i've just got the call.
