Calls. Asks for my husband by name. Says he is John Stevens. I ask if I can take a message. Asks when he will be home. I ask again what the call is regarding. He goes quiet / hangs up.
Sounds like an older man calling asking for my husband (by a shortened version of his legal name). Says he is just really trying to get ahold of him, then hangs up when I say my husband isn't available to come to the phone right now.
Still looking for my husband whom he knows by name, but I managed to get him to chat awhile this morning. Tells me his name is Jim Stevens from a research group called Risk Capital Effects. He's done business with my husband in the past and reports that my husband really wanted him to call if there were more opportunities. (gosh, it must have slipped my husbands mind to tell me lol) Well guess what?! There is something awesome coming from the current situation in Iraq!!!
I told Jim that yes, I would absolutely bring my husband to the phone, then placed the receiver on my desk and began to type this message. After three minutes, Jim got tired and probably moved on to scam someone else. Can you imagine hanging up on me?? I was so pleasant, too.
