Yeah these people are [***] (trying not to sound too mean and watching my language). Calling at 7am through to 10pm, and now on weekends.
I did answer them once and found out I was in collections with a bank that I closed the account about 6 years ago. Not sure if this is a scam since the account was closed, but either the bank or these people are going to have to deal with a very angry man in a couple weeks.
...and they are the collection agents that people have mentioned.

they called me before, ranging from 7:30 in the morning till 8:30 at night, i eventually got an actual person to call me and i told them that they keeping calling me for different people and i don't know any of these people and they removed my number but they called again today
they keep calling my cell phone. I don't know how they got it when I just got this phone. An automated answering machine comes on and says "listen carefully, if your name is..." and it will say some random name and tell me to press a number.
Same story as everyone else. When I told them I'm not the person that they're looking for, they asked for my name. When I wouldn't give it, he said that he wouldn't take me off the list. I said that I would report him, and he hung up. The same number also told my wife that she had a [***] attitude before hanging up on her. That was at 7:15 in the morning. I would love to meet these guys face to face.
I got a call from this # at 7:28 this morning. Caller ID was this # but it was Unknown. No one left a message. So I Google the # and call them back at 10:30. The message said" thanks for calling CBV, please hold for next available agent..." when a girl came to the phone, I asked what was the purpose of their call, she asked for my name and then she pretended that she couldn't hear me and hang up. I will pursue it further and will report to authorities.
